High air pressure and rising temperatures are becoming increasingly established here over the long Easter weekend. This trend is set to hold firm until the middle of next week, bringing spring back to us for good. On Friday, we’ll start with the lingering dense clouds of a weak, overnight warm front. These clouds may persist well into the day, blocking out the sun. It will only begin to clear up more noticeably at sunset. At the same time, it will now be significantly warmer in the mountains than in recent days. On Sunday, this widespread warming will continue, accompanied by extensive high-level veil clouds in places. However, this will only slightly dampen the sunshine. From Monday to Wednesday next week, high pressure will then firmly establish itself over us, ensuring bright sunshine throughout under a mostly cloudless sky. The frost line will be at 3,000 metres above sea level.
