Hexenweg (The Witches' Trail)
Starting point: Steinegg - Schönjochbahn midway station
Character: Fairies, elves and witches have always resided up here on the high plateau Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. This theme path devotes itself to the deeds and misdeeds of the witches.
Walking time: approx. 1 ½ hours
Description:The children set off from Fiss, from the mid station of the Schönjochbahn cable car (F061)and walk through the forest in the direction of the Kuh Alm Fiss (F121). They have to solve various puzzles, meet challenges and encounter mysterious phenomena. Thus, for example, unusual noises and sounds have to be identified or obstacles have to be mastered by balancing and climbing. Situational thinking, creativity and perseverance are required of the children before they finally reach the witch’s cottage (F123). Here they discover the story of the witch Peppina which tried an experiment and something went wrong. Her cottage flew up into the air and landed upside down on the ground. The objects that the children came across during their journey, lying on the ground or hanging in the trees, that formed part of the mystery, were all from her witches’ cottage.
